Meeting Schedule 2008 – 2009

NALC is pleased to announce a series of three meetings focused on literacy in the content areas. The second meeting, "Literacies for Teaching and Learning", is scheduled for October 2, 2008.

Defining 21st Century Literacies: Content Experts Speak Out
April 30, 2008 in Washington, DC

Representatives of the principle professional associations for math, science, social studies, and English will describe both literacies particular to their subject areas and literacies common across subject areas. Attendees will be able to discuss these topics with speakers from NCTM, STA, CSS, and NCTE.
